CEO- Derek S. Evans
Mr. Evans is a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps who served in “Operation Iraqi Freedom” and conducted combat operations with the 1st Marine Division in Ramadi, Iraq. Mr. Evans quickly obtained the rank of Corporal (non-commissioned officer). His responsibilities included managing 10MM dollars of government equipment and leading a section of 15 junior ranking Marines. Mr. Evans was the recipient of several awards and citations for actions in combat, and his personal conduct while serving in the Corps. After receiving an honorable discharge from the Corps, Mr. Evans moved back to his home city of Dallas, TX and began his oil and gas career as a registered/licensed series 22 and 63 direct participation program financial broker. During his tenure he advised clientele on oil and gas development programs in several geological regions in Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. In 2006 Mr. Evans accepted an opportunity with a private equity firm focused on natural resource markets and alternative energy markets. Here he participated in water rights acquisition programs, pipeline acquisition programs, bio fuels, wind technologies, and a major Permian Basin fossil fuel development program. In 2007 Mr. Evans co-hosted multiple natural resource investment seminars in Dallas, Ft. Lauderdale, and Scottsdale that were designed to educate private investors about the pending global energy challenges, various benefits of investing in direct participation programs, and the importance of integrating natural resource investments into an investor’s portfolio. In 2010 Mr. Evans founded Veteran Oil Partners LLC and sought partnership with fellow Marine Corps colleague, and Oil and Gas businessman Taylor F. Rogers. Together they have grown Veteran Oil Partners into the present day model of the Veteran Companies, and aim to continue to positively impact communities, people, partners, and the nation as a whole through their business endeavors.
President- Taylor F. Rogers
Mr. Rogers is a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps who served in “Operation Iraqi Freedom” with the 1st Marine Division. Mr. Rogers received several commendations for his actions in combat, and conduct as a Marine. While in the Marine Corps Mr. Rogers served as an artillery technician and heavy equipment specialist. His duties included maintaining an entire Battalion’s weaponry assets and vehicle assets, which ensured the Battalion was combat capable on moment’s notice. Immediately upon receiving an honorable discharge from the Corps, Mr. Rogers moved back to his home city of Dallas, Texas and began his oil and gas career as a registered/licensed series 22 and 63 direct participation program financial broker. For 5 years Mr. Rogers advised his clientele on oil and gas drilling ventures centered in the Texas Panhandle and the Gulf Coast region of South Texas, and he has participated in over 40 wells drilled in these areas. As President of Veteran Oil Partners, Mr. Rogers’ duties include; partner relations, joint venture management, revenue dispersal, fund raising, and general oversight of the day to day business operations. Mr. Rogers has a degree from the University of Phoenix in Entrepreneurship and Business Management.
Senior Vice President- Alan Girardot
Mr. Girardot is a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps who served honorably with 4th Marine Aircraft Wing during his time in the Marine Corps. Mr. Girardot served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and has received several awards and commendations for actions in combat, high standards of ethical conduct, and professionalism as a Marine. During his time in the Marine Corps, Mr.Girardot served as an Explosive Weapons Systems Technician and earned the rank of Non Commissioned Officer meritoriously, and received the privilege of managing twenty five junior ranking Marines. Mr. Girardot also served as a Martial Arts Instructor training over one hundred Marines in hand to hand combat and warrior ethics. Today Mr. Girardot continues to train in his respective discipline of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and actively serves as a mentor and teacher in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. Mr. Girardot is a Graduate of Texas Tech University where he studied Political Science, Economics and Spanish. Upon completing his higher education Mr. Girardot pursued a career in oil and gas where he acquired his series 22 and 63 securities license and gained valuable knowledge and experience working with industry competitors. As Vice President of Veteran Oil Partners Mr. Girardot’s duties include partner relations, industry research and analysis, fund raising, and other various administrative duties. Mr. Girardot is dedicated to navigating today’s economic challenges and has a vested interest in helping Americans achieve energy independence.
